Mirtha Perazza is a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) and a Master Ergonomist for The Ergonomics Center of North Carolina, housed within the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at North Carolina State University. She received a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, and an M.S. degree in Ergonomics from Texas A&M University.
Mirtha has over twenty years of professional experience applying the concepts of ergonomics and human factors in a broad range of business and industry environments. She has focused in the areas of program development and management, training, job analysis and issue resolution. Mirtha has worked in the electronics and medical device industries before entering the consulting world. Previous roles include Ergonomics Program Manager at Hewlett Packard in PR, where she implemented and managed the ergonomics program for the site, and Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Boston Scientific in MN. She also served as part-time Human Factors/Ergonomics professor at the University of Puerto Rico, and currently serves as a program committee member for IISE’s Applied Ergonomics Conference.
