Tim McGlothlin currently serves as the Senior Executive Director for The Ergonomics Center of North Carolina. He holds a masters degree in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee and is certified by the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (CPE).
Prior to his current assignment, Mr. McGlothlin has worked for two Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award-winning companies. First, he spent nine years at Motorola, Inc. where he served in various technical and manufacturing leadership positions. Then he worked fourteen years with Eastman Chemical Company where he served as Principal Ergonomist.
Mr. McGlothlin also serves on the faculty of the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center and is a frequent speaker at the regional and national level on successful ergonomic process implementation. He served four years as the Conference Co-Chair for the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers’ (IISE) annual Applied Ergonomics Conference and was recently elected president of IISE’s Board of Trustees.
