Workers Compensation Claims Support

The Ergonomics Center can provide valuable assistance to clients in dealing with workers’ compensation cases. One of the primary tasks for an ergonomist is to observe a person performing a job and provide an unbiased evaluation of the physical demands and the potential risk of injury. This information is critical in a workers’ compensation case, where the potential causes of the injury must be determined to evaluate work-relatedness.

The Center has developed its physical demands description and ergonomics risk assessment tools to highlight the risk and potential causes of injury so the client can outline the best path forward. Our ergonomists may provide a review and unbiased critique of any assessments or opinions issued by opposing counsel’s experts. As required, our ergonomists may conduct detailed technical literature reviews to substantiate their findings and opinions. We also provide expert witnessing in cases that are being litigated.
