Guidelines for setting up a home office

Working from Home Guidelines

The Ergonomics Center is closely monitoring the COVID-19/coronavirus situation. Our greatest concern is for the health, safety, and well-being of our clients and staff. As a business unit of the College of Engineering at NC State University, we will continue to comply with operational directives from the University.

We are also implementing the following:

We will be working remotely to the greatest extent possible. Please contact your Center point of contact to determine if a virtual meeting is possible or to discuss the status of your current project. We are cancelling all public, face-to-face events and training through the end of April. We will be in touch as soon as we can to reschedule these important engagements. Our staff is available for free remote consultations to help your company address issues that may be arising as a result of the crisis.

Some of the services we can offer remotely include:

  • Home Office Ergonomics Evaluations with Recommendations
  • Ergonomics Program SOP Development
  • Ergonomics Program Gap Analysis
  • Ergonomics Cultural Maturity Model Leadership Alignment Event
  • Ergonomics Team Guidance and Mentoring
  • Ergonomics Awareness Training for Supervisors & Managers

Also, we have developed a list of guidelines for setting up and using a home office. Please know that we understand how difficult this is for your company and employees. We will stay connected, and hope everyone remains safe and healthy.
